The goal of punjabi class is to teach and promote Gurmukhi and Sikh History to children, so that they can understand and be proud to live by the Sikh Principles. In addition to the class work, activities such as quiz competitions, debate and speech competitions and field trips are organized during the class year. The class year is from Sep to May and the classes are held every Saturday except the last Saturday of the month. Class begins at 3:30 PM and ends at 6:00 PM. At 6:30 kirtan class begins. Part of the curriculum for each grade is to learn the Japji Sahib. We have produced our own recording of the Japji Sahib which you can find here.
Sikh History Questions
All of the Sikh history questions used in class can be viewed here. This site will allow you to randomly view questions within a certain range and view their answers. The website requires that you use a modern browser, and will not work on older browsers. Please contact the webmaster if you have any questions.
